A solid foam mattress that is quality will NOT need a box spring to go underneath it. If you want the bed to be higher you can get a platform base but the memory foam should feel good even if placed on a concrete sidewalk.

The warranty is a good sign as to whether or not you're getting your money's worth. If the warranty is solid, is as long as 10 years or more, and covers all normal usage of the mattress then you can rest assured that you're getting the best bang for your buck.
Check The Company Itself
You can always check to see if the company that is selling the mattress or that manufactured the mattress is legitimate.
Look to see when their company was founded. Was it recently? Was it a few years ago? Was it 10 years ago? The longer a company has been in business the more likely they are to provide a better service and a better product (it makes sense this way because if they didn't provide good service or a quality product then they would have gone out of business long ago).These are important points to remember when purchasing a memory foam mattress.
